Generic Brands Save You Money

Well, duh. Still, it’s remarkable how much you can really save, especially when you’re stockpiling a four-month supply of items needed (or desired) to keep your organism running smoothly. This includes bottles of contact lens solution, deodorant, and a bazillion boxes of anti-diarrheal tablets. Buy generic!

I wish I could go to sleep tonight in my own bed for the last time in many months, but I won’t be able to. No, it’s not the nervous anticipation about embarking on a journey like no other I’ve taken before. It’s because I’ve got all these stupid little things to do before a mega shopping trip tomorrow morning.

On the other hand, I’ve got a 14-hour flight coming up, and as much as I want to see the famed Singapore Airlines flight attendants putter up and down the aisle, I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy the flight better while asleep.

In any case, setting up this blog was one of those things on my to-do list. Enjoy. I’ll flesh out the FAQ and the bio pages as we go along. Now I need to figure out how exactly to do photos + WordPress, and then we’ll be fine, I think.

Well, you really are your parents’ child. During breakfast, Mom admonished me for not buying the generic anti-diarrheal meds. She has a point; I might not have thought out that particular decision thoroughly enough.

Looking forward to your insights as you explore Sri Lanka. I’m sure you’ll return a changed man! Thanks for coming up to visit us, Debby and I really enjoyed your company. Good luck.

Duh double. Mom has practically raised us on generic stuff. Sandwich bags. Band-aids. iBouphren. But, you’re lucky, we love you unconditionally and beyond. That ain’t generic! Whoo…I’m counting the hours til your take-off and til your arrival. I’m already giddy in anticipation for your first blog on your first night in Colombo at Hilton Hotel and ordering egg hoppas, typical Sri-Lankan breakfast. Sounds yummy!

Wow, good luck and I’m curious to see how your experience goes. Also curious to hear your perspectives as you work while in Sri Lanka. I can’t help but be a teensy-weensy bit jealous. :-)

Funny how you’re jetting off to Sri Lanka and I’ll soon be coming back from my tour in Europe. (4 October)

Oh yeah, generic brands rock. It’s sad when people refuse to buy generic brands. Ah well.
